[VIDEO]  Matthew Grossman: Reconsidering the Standard Approach to Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)

Matthew Grossman, MD, of Yale University will be at the NAS Symposium in June 2020 in Houston, TX.   In this video he explains the ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) Method of Care for babies experiencing NAS and how nonpharmacologic interventions are the first line treatment.  He calls it "Morphine is being replaced by mothers."   It is a family-centered approach that provides a more humane and effective care.  (Video by the California Health Care Foundation)

The Zaky System is the most effective non-pharmacologic care as first line treatment for babies experiencing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) or Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome in every hospital unit.
